Holy Trinity has always had a strong mission to connect with the community in which we are located. The Community Centre, located across the road from the church building, is frequented by members of the church community at Holy Trinity as well as local residents of all ages. The activities and ministries of the Centre have changed over time in line with our community needs.
Food Drop Off
A distribution of fresh food for food-insecure people takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm at the Community Centre.
HOME GROUPS/BIBLE STUDIES
We have a number of groups who meet at various times and places throughout the week to study the bible.
Refugee & Asylum Seeker Advocacy
This is an ongoing ministry which happens in many and varied ways throughout the year, and includes the following:
- Refugee Advocacy
- Asylum Seeker Advocacy
- Annual grocery collection for House of Welcome
- Boxers for Peace
- Peace work in Syria and elsewhere, including Prayers For Syria
Boxing and Fitness Training
Holy Trinity’s minister, Father David Smith, is the oldest professional boxer in Australia. Father Dave has become a strong believer in the benefits of disciplined physical training for particularly young people.
Members of the community, young and old, have the opportunity to train in boxing, kickboxing and wrestling with Father Dave at the Holy Trinity School of Martial Arts. Please visit the website for training times and prices.
Holy Trinity has a continued ministry of openness to dialogue with others.
